DeeAnn Adams spent over twenty years in the high-pressure corporate business world in sales and marketing, and she was definitely ready for change.  She first opened her shop in 2006 in the Reid & McCoy building on South Main Street and Adams. It was an Antique and Quilting shop, both parts of the business did great, says DeeAnn. However, when she was ready to move to a permanent location. She knew there was only one area to consider. DeeAnn relocated to 115 Main, right in the heart of downtown. Quilting has been a major part of DeeAnn’s life since she was a girl, her mother loved to quilt, making this an easy choice for her business. The Country Store & Quilt Shop in Downtown Lovington was opened in 2008 and has been one of Lovington MainStreet’s thriving business ever since. The Shop offers a variety of classes from basic sewing, quilting, and even machine mechanics. In 2017, DeeAnn bought the building to the North of The Country Store & Quilt Shop, and in December opened up SewMuchFun. This gave her the opportunity to expand her inventory and space for workshops. The Country Store & Quilt Shop is recipient of the Lovington MainStreet 2017 Heart of MainStreet Award. The Heart of MainStreet Award is given to a business or organization within the downtown district that most exemplifies the spirit of MainStreet by promoting growth, commerce and collaboration. We are so proud to have shop owners like DeeAnn in our Downtown District that like us strive to make Lovington a better place!
